Ventilated Dry Ridge Kit
The Ubbink Dry Ridge Kit is a cost-effective, easy to install and ideal solution for both Ridge and Hip systems. Unlike traditional mortar systems, it offers a mortar-free, mechanically fixed installation in line with BS5534, ensuring a secure and weather-resistant fit.
Key features include:
- Suitable for roof pitches up to 55° and a ridge of up to 6m.
- Matches a wide range of ridge tiles including Redland Universal Angle, Half Round/Segmental, and Marley Modern.
- Easy installation, even in challenging weather conditions.
- Maintenance-free and provides a long-lasting, secure solution for your roof.

Application
Our system complies with BS 5250, providing high levels of ventilation and resistance to wind uplift. Independently tested at the BRE to meet BS8612, the Ubbink Dry Ridge Kit is suitable for use in all wind zones across the UK.
Universal Dry Verge system
The Ubbink Universal Dry Verge is a mortar-free solution designed to mechanically secure verge tiles in compliance with BS5534 standards and NHBC regulations, offering a 10-year warranty for added peace of mind. This system is not only quick and easy to install but also provides a reliable and durable fixing to the roof's verge.
Key Features and Benefits
- Universal Ambi Unit: Reduces the need for multiple stock items as it fits both left and right-hand verges.
- Water Drip Channel: Each Ambi unit includes a drip channel that prevents water staining on the wall.
- Compatibility: Suitable for popular profile roof tiles with a batten gauge range of 255mm to 355mm.
- Thin Leading Edge Compatibility: Can accommodate thin leading edge tiles (requires slight modification of Ambi unit tabs).
- Flexible Installation: The starter unit provides a secure fixing point and can be installed with or without the gutter in place.
- No Measurement Required: The batten bracket ensures a secure batten fixing and eliminates the need for measuring a 30mm batten overhang by aligning with a flush cut batten.
- Wide Range of Roof Pitches: Supports roof pitches up to 55°.

Like all products in our ridge roll range, Airtec Plus safeguards the roof structure against wind-driven rain without compromising airflow.
Airtec Plus is distinguished by its refined aluminium bonding profile, making installation faster, easier, and more convenient on site. The high-quality adhesive strip requires no applied pressure—simply smooth it into place by hand to achieve excellent adhesion.
For added security, Airtec Plus incorporates a 3 cm wide butyl strip, ensuring a dependable fit across all roof tile types. The aluminium surface is finished with a UV-resistant, dirt-repellent PET coating, enhancing durability and ensuring long-term performance in demanding conditions.

As of the creation of BS8612 in 2018, all new build projects require dry fixings for ridge, hip and verge systems instead fo the previous wet cement based fixings.
Dry fix systems can be retrospectively installed but would usually require the primary roof covering to be removed in that area. It would be best to consult the Ubbink Technical Team for installation advice for retrospective installs.
The key benefit of using an ambi-hand product comes when purchasing the product as the left and right units do not have to be quantified. It also reduces the risk of the incorrect handing being fitted on site.
As the dry fix kits are not reliant on ony wet trades or adhesives, the product can be installed in all weather and temperture conditions.
Yes this product is suitable for both new build and retro fit due to the unique starter unit which can be installed before or after the gutter installed.
The Ubbink dry verge has an integral water drip channel within the unit to minimse the risk of water staining.
