Celebrating 50 Years of Ubbink UK
Ubbink, a leading European manufacturer of smart and sustainable construction products, is celebrating 50 years of serving the UK market in 2026.
Founded in the Netherlands in 1896, Ubbink has spent more than 130 years building a reputation for innovation, quality and reliability across roofing, waterproofing, ventilation and energy applications.
The company established its UK subsidiary in Brackley, Northamptonshire, in 1976, before relocating to its current headquarters in Northampton. Fifty years later, Ubbink UK continues to support installers, merchants and housebuilders with practical products and expert technical support.
A Growing Product Portfolio
Ubbink's UK journey began with roof windows and flat roof skylights before expanding into roof ventilation – a category that remains at the heart of the business today.
Over the years, the UK product range has continued to evolve, with the introduction of roofing membranes, gas flue systems and bathroom ventilation products. In 2006, Ubbink launched its first Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR) units, followed by a comprehensive range of ductwork and accessories in 2019.
Looking Ahead: New Products for 2026
As part of its continued commitment to meeting the needs of the market, Ubbink is expanding its ventilation offering once again in 2026.
Following feedback from installers and industry partners, the company will introduce a new range of smaller MVHR units during summer 2026. Spring will also see the return of vapour permeable roofing membranes to the UK portfolio, providing customers with even more choice across key product categories.
